Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What can I expect from our first session?
A: Prior to our first session I will send you some paperwork to complete, along with the Zoom link for our sessions. Our first session will be 60 minutes, and sessions thereafter will be 45 minutes . We'll spend our first session getting to know each other, discussing the reasons you're choosing to start therapy, and going over your history.

Q: Where will we meet for therapy sessions?
A: My practice is currently fully virtual with all sessions taking place on Zoom. If you have never used Zoom before, please let me know and I'd be happy to walk you through the process of downloading Zoom and entering our first virtual session. You'll need access to a computer, smart phone, or tablet during the scheduled session time, as well as a private space for us have our session. Some solutions to not having a private space at home are attending the virtual session from a parked car, a secluded outdoor area, or reserving a private room in a library.

Q: When can I expect to feel better?
A: Everyone’s journey is different and therapy is a process that takes time, effort, and commitment. Progress heavily depends on the individual person and their situation. Sometimes you can see improvements in a matter of 4-5 sessions, while other times it may take months or years. As we work together we'll continue to assess what feels like the appropriate length of time to stay in therapy based on your unique progress.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: I have a 2 business day hour cancellation policy. This means that you will be charged for the full session if you cancel less than 2 business days in advance of the session.

Q: Do you accept insurance?
A: I do not currently accept insurance; however, I can provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement if you have out-of-network benefits. If you're unsure if your insurance plan includes out-of-network benefits, you can call your insurance company and ask the following questions as you may be eligible for reimbursement.
-
Do I have out-of-network benefits?
-
If yes, what is the deductible I need to reach before I can be reimbursed?
